100 Days to Making Money Selling Digital Products

Hey, there! I’m Vaishnavi and this is my little corner in the world to – hopefully – keep myself accountable in my WFH Creating Income Sources Journey aka WFH CIS part of my life aka life after COVID and a recent quarter life crisis of everything getting SO Expensive 🙁

I’m starting a 100 days challenge to make money from selling digital products from today i.e 22nd June 2025. This would be my first time venturing into selling stuff and not just affiliates. I will be mapping out my journey every couple of days to track my progress, keep me accountable as well as to maybe help someone out there who can do the same or if possible – get tips from folks who have already “made it” in this space.

I have a few goals and plans roughly sketched out (with some help refining it using ChatGPT). First, I’m thinking of planners – specifically financial planners – I’ve always wanted a financial planner thats super detailed and aligned as well as customisable to my needs and thus my reason to want to start first out with a basic one with all sorts of stuff I would want to have as a beginner without overwhelm before I move on to the ultimate/power user kinda financial planner that will dive deep into all of financial nitty gritty of things.

I’m also planning to make it in google sheets – since my previous job for sure got me to have a love/hate relationship with sheets and n number of staring at cells all day long :D. Nevertheless, I like the interface and rather prefer Gsheets to Excel though Excel is way more advanced as compared to Gsheets. Best part, I’m used to it already.

So, lets go through a quick checklist of questions answering Wh questions –

What I want to create – Financial Planners

Where I want to create – Gsheets first and then excel

Which platform/mode do I want to use to sell – Ads, Social Media

What is the price point – $5-$10 for basic (somewhat, mainly all key stuff that others usually don’t have from my knowledge and research) and $20+ for the ultimate one (super detailed and extremely customisable, basically blueprint deep dive into personal finances at a glance with plenty of charts, data points, themes, modes etc).

How many days do I want to spend on this (What is my timeline) – While there are plenty of folks out there who are able to earn money from digital products within say 7 days, 15 days, 1 month, so on and so forth, I want to actually spend time on this learning and implementing them to create a sustainable mode of income instead of a quick crash course without any consistency or regrets that perhaps if I spent more time on this, I would have “made it”. More than that, this timeline gives me enough time to learn, implement, experiment, pivot, adapt and relearn, which are all I believe are crucial to a sustainable business model. (To be realistic, I do have other projects I’m working on – so, apart from the first few days to a week – mainly to create the spreadsheets, I won’t be able to spend much time on this except 2-4 hours every day)

What is my goal by end of 100 days – I want to try and see if I can earn in Profit – $300 in Month 1, $700 in Month 2, $1500 in Month 3 and last 10 days to earn $50+ consistently every day from absolute scratch as someone who doesn’t have a degree in marketing nor anything related to it – I’m a wayward owner of a dental degree.

When do I want to implement this challenge – from 22nd June to 30th September 2025. 100 Days.
